Trumbull Regional Medical Center
A Steward Family Hospital
Art Collection

As of April, 2019, The art work on display at the Trumbull Regional Medical Center, Hillside Hospital and Elm Road Medical Center have become the Trumbull Art Gallery's collection to be held in trust for our community.  Tag has been involved in the development of the collection from its inception in the early 1990s.

Marianne Nissen and Frannie Burns, both TAG Board Members and volunteers, began the collection in order to infuse the visual arts into the healthcare system and to provide patients, vistors and staff a positive and less stressful environment in which to work and experience healthcare.

TAG will now be working with the hospital to maintain the collection and curate the art to meet the needs of the hospital and provide the community a first-class visual arts experience.

The Trumbull Area Artist Group curated by Karen Fry, continues to present the work of area artists in the Nissen Gallery.  This gallery program provides our region's artists and exhibition venue that is frequently visited by our community as they interact with the hospital.

Over the next few months, we will be updating this page with information about the collection, exhibitions and ways in which our community can help to support our art in healthcare efforts.
